Description
Pagid RST 3 is a medium-high friction metal-ceramic racing compound designed to combine strong braking torque with excellent modulation and control. It provides good initial bite without being excessively aggressive, while its low thermal conductivity helps reduce the amount of heat transferred through the pad into the caliper and brake fluid.

What it’s good for
Ideal for track days, club racing, GT and touring cars, prototype and formula applications, as well as both tarmac and gravel rallying. Its combination of bite, braking torque and modulation makes RST 3 particularly versatile and well suited to drivers who want a proper motorsport compound without an extremely aggressive initial response.

What we like about it
Balance is the biggest strength of RST 3. It provides enough initial bite and friction for serious track use while retaining excellent modulation and release characteristics, giving the driver plenty of control when approaching the limit of the tyre.

The low thermal conductivity is another useful characteristic, helping reduce heat transfer into the caliper and brake fluid during sustained heavy braking. For a track car doing repeated hard sessions, that makes RST 3 a very well-rounded package.

Worth knowing: RST 3 sits below the RST 1 in outright friction and initial bite, but that's also part of its appeal. It offers a less aggressive and more easily modulated response, making it the more versatile choice for many track-day and club-level applications. If maximum braking torque is the priority, RST 1 is the stronger option. If control and predictability matter just as much as outright bite, RST 3 makes a lot of sense.
