Description
Ferodo DS2500 is a fast road and light track-day brake pad designed to offer a step up in performance from a conventional road pad without the compromises of a full race compound. With an average friction coefficient of around 0.42 and a working temperature range extending to approximately 600°C, it offers consistent braking performance, good initial bite and predictable modulation while remaining civilised enough for regular road use.

What it’s good for
Ideal for fast road cars, occasional track days and dual-purpose builds where the car still sees plenty of road mileage. DS2500 works particularly well for drivers looking for more temperature capability and consistency than an OE-style pad without moving to a more aggressive track compound.

What we like about it
The DS2500 is all about usability. It performs well from relatively low temperatures, has a progressive and easy-to-modulate pedal feel, and generally produces less noise and harshness than more track-focused compounds. For a road car that sees occasional circuit use, it strikes a good balance between everyday manners and increased braking performance.
