Description
Hardrace Rear Trailing Arm Bushes are a direct upgrade for the factory rear trailing arm bushes, helping improve rear axle control and maintain more consistent suspension geometry under load. Available with either uprated rubber bushes or rose joints, they allow you to choose between improved road manners or maximum precision for more track-focused applications. Suitable for the BMW E46 M3 as well as compatible E36, E85, E86 and E89 applications.
What it’s good for
A great upgrade for fast road, track day and dedicated track cars. The uprated rubber version is ideal for road-biased cars looking for improved rear-end control without a significant increase in NVH, while the rose-jointed version is better suited to track-focused builds where precision and geometry control take priority over refinement.
What we like about it
The rear trailing arm bush has a significant influence on how accurately the rear suspension behaves under cornering and braking loads. Reducing unwanted movement here helps keep the rear geometry more consistent, giving the car a more precise and predictable feel. Having both rubber and rose-jointed options also means you can choose the right level of compromise for how the car is actually used.
Worth knowing: Rose joints provide the greatest precision by removing much of the compliance found in a conventional bush, but this comes with increased noise and harshness. For a predominantly road-driven car, the uprated rubber version will usually offer the better compromise.
