Description
BC Racing RM Series coilovers build on the adjustability of the BR Series with an inverted monotube damper design, fitted at the front or both front and rear depending on the application. The inverted layout improves damper rigidity and relocates more of the damper mass to the sprung side of the suspension, helping reduce unsprung weight while retaining 30-way damping adjustment and independent ride-height adjustment.
What it’s good for
Ideal for fast road, track day and clubsport builds where the additional rigidity and reduced unsprung mass of an inverted damper are worthwhile. The RM Series is particularly well suited to cars running higher spring rates, sticky tyres and more aggressive suspension setups where greater loads are being fed through the damper.
What we like about it
The inverted damper construction is the key advantage. Increasing rigidity helps the damper maintain better control under high cornering and braking loads, while reducing unsprung mass helps the wheel respond more effectively to changes in the road surface. You still retain the straightforward adjustability of the BR Series, making the RM an attractive step up without moving to a much more complex suspension package.
Worth knowing: Like the BR Series, the RM uses a single damping adjuster rather than independent compression and rebound control. The main reason to choose RM over BR is therefore the inverted damper construction and the benefits that brings to rigidity and unsprung mass, rather than additional damping adjustment.
